The Knight in the 21st Century

• There's a dragon called Hydra and when you pick up the sword and cut it's head off, another head pops up and keeps breathing fire. Now, imagine you're the knight. Imagine you're a father, or mother, or brother, sister, and you are fighting the dragon in your life.
  
  You take up the sword and you dodge the flames and slice the head off the Dragon. And you think you've done the job but then, to your amazement, another two heads come up, and again you dodge and get near enough to swipe and cut all two heads. You step away, turn your back and booooooooooom, you hear a rush of flames coming at you and you duck, and turn round and look up to see the Dragon has six heads.
  
  You know you have to change tactics here. You get up quick and this time, you wised up. You're in pain and you're hurting enough to wake up to reality and you lunge yourself and go for the heart of the Dragon, and you successfully slay it. Let's now look at this parrable in the real world shall we;
  
  In the world today, people are putting more hours in work than before. Their Dragon is a financial one and like a knight, their fighting for their family, security but reality is, they are going about it the wrong way. Anyone who thinks that a JOB is going to give someone financial future must be living in cuckoo land, and if their working and thinking the pension will save them, then they got another thing coming.
  
  A guy goes to work, like a knight, and comes back to find the Dragon breathing down his kneck. He gets paid and the Dragon takes a lot out, which is called Tax. Rent comes, and he swipes the kneck of it by paying it from his wages but another head sprouts out and thats the phone bill, electric and again, he takes a swipe but two more heads come up, and they are the telephone bill, and so, the fighting goes on with food, and the council tax, and then clothes for the kids, holidays, and so he gets rid of the Dragon heads by getting a loan, and booooooooooom, five more heads sprout out.
  
  Now, here I am looking at a lot of people who think they got the answer. I ain't going to ask someone who is working what success is. You're joking me right? The one in a job can't even survive on their income and has to work everyday, 5 days a week, TRADING TIME FOR MONEY and throws in the weekend, and still more dragons heads sprout out. He gets another job in evening to slice these heads off but, Xmas has come or what Muslims celebrate called Eid and so families need present (business as usual), yep, more heads sprout out and this time triple.
  
  So, what does he doe? He gets a third job or like the sad people I know, set up in a TRADITIONAL business (come on people, times have changed!). I know a woman who has two business, and says she has no time and then works it to set up another business. Wont you make sure you get the first business working before acting macho and set up another business??? Go figure.
  
  So here we are, people working, in 9-5 job, and they think they are successful; trading time for money. Think for God sake! 2-20 years you study, work for 40 years, to end up with what? 40 years you use your youthful time, the most productive years of your life to build someone else's business. Guess what? The boss has an agenda, and the one who hasn't is the worker that loooooooooooooooooooooooves their job...NOT. They don't do it for love or I will say, "GO AND GET IT DONE FOR FREE!" They can't. Why? Fear in not paying the BILLS.
  
  One pays and keeps paying, and soon they are snowed under, no matter what fancy car they have. They still have to keep working. They always start with zero and all they have to look forward to is a pension that might not exist. You'd be lucky if you see yourself living till 65, the way some are working till they drop.
  
  If JOb 1, doesn't kill the Dragon, the dude goes and gets JOB 2, and if that doesn't kill the Dragon, then guess what? Job number three comes in. And if that doesn't work to kill the Dragon, then a loan, and then a credit cards not just 1 credit card, and so on, until the person is TRAPPED, to such, the JOB (Just Over Broke), owns them. They have to be nice, play office politics, and ooh, they got names on their door or on table, just in case they forget what their names are and what position they do. Some move from one job to another. I know someone who moved to 6 jobs in last 2 years. No JOB is secure anymore, not even for the hitech, cause I can hire someone at the other end of the country to design me a web site with half of what someone charges in UK. Actually less and they awesome at designing web sites and at programming.
  
  And when marriage kicks in, he is tired of fighting the dragon and so is she and the dragon breathes down the kneck of those who cannot see change coming.
  
  It is clear, that if you're in that rut, you need to change tactics and slay the beast. And you are insane if you keep doing what he's doing cause sooner or later, its going to get to you.
  
  You'd better dig yourself a better Well my friends before the one you got dries out. And that's what I'm going to come up to in the next article when this sinks in for you. Cause I know a lot of people who are accountant, solicitors, doctors, self employed business people who think they got it sorted, but the fact of the matter is this;
  
  They are trading time for money; and that means, they will continue to work until they drop. Say bye bye to pension, social security, because a new world is coming, and the question is today, do I have enough to retire? Will the pension still exist? What do I need to do?
