  • how to solve this equation:
    y'' + 5ý -y + 8 = 3x -7
    y(0)=1
    y'(1)=2

    please help

  • hey daibang, íts not college algebra bro. looks like differential equation. I took it 2 years agọ Ím not sure but you might try:

    m^2 + 5m - 1=0 ; r1,2 = (-5 +- (21^1/2))/2
    then y= C1*exp(r1x) +C2 exp(r2x) + 3x-15 ( *)
    so, x=0 -> y( 0) =c1 + c2 - 15 =1 -> c1+ c2= 16 (1)
    ý(1) = c1*r1exp ( r1x) + c2r2exp (r2x)+3=2 (2)

    From (1) and (2)-> c1, c2. Plug them bak into (*) to find the answer.

  • that is a second order linear differential equation. you can rewrite the equation in the form ar^2 + br + c = 0 and solve for "r" like a quadratic equation. next, you have to know the general formula, which i dónt think i can right it on herẹ but goes over ur math notes, it should tell you what to do once you figured out what "r" is:

  • Johnny đang học Calculus III nhưng ko biết có làm đc. Algebra II ko nữa tại môn này 4 yrs ago rồi ko biết còn nhớ ko nữa ...problem của bạn đâu Confused ???
